Builth Wells and 11.5 miles from Hay-on-Wye. Set beside a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) with views to the Black Mountains, this spacious Mid Wales cottage boasts exposed beams and a warming woodburning stove to provide an ideal base for a family holiday. The large open plan living area at this Radnorshire cottage offers a breakfast bar, dining area, a delightful sitting area and French doors that lead to the patio, garden and paddock. There are two ground floor bedrooms at this Mid Wales cottage, with one offering a wonderful king-size four poster double bed with dressing room, en-suite wet room and lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Also on the ground floor is a family bathroom with spa bath, plus a lovely spiral staircase leads to a mezzanine floor, where you will find a sitting/play area and two single beds. This Mid Wales holiday home is surrounded by hills and miles and miles of open countryside, much of which is unfenced common land, providing many lovely walking, biking and riding routes from the doorstep, plus the Offa's Dyke footpath and for horse riders the Bryngwyn Riding Centre and Free Rein riding stables in Clyro are close by. A little further afield are the towns of Hay-on-Wye, often described as 'the town of books',
Kington, known as the ‘centre for walking’, and
Builth Wells, with its traditional pubs, individual shops and theatre and the
Brecon Beacons National Park is within easy driving distance. This excellent Glascwm eco cottage is the perfect base for exploring nearby market towns, historical sites and the beautiful Mid Wales countryside, or just a place to get away from everyday life and enjoy full use of the lovely hot tub.
