Hayloft in Truro, Cornwall sleeps 4 people. For a coastal escape without the crowds, head to this converted farm building which clings to the beach. Hayloft along with Mowhay, Granary, Gwendra Wartha and Dairy Cottage Gwendra are restored slate and stone holiday cottages that overlook the sea.. 

Inside you’ll find elegant interiors, complimented by uninterrupted sea views from the windows. It has two bedrooms and a living room that’s centred around an open fire. Just outside is a shared garden with a picnic table, so you can dine al fresco. 

Hop down to the sandy beaches, Carne and Pendower, which are perfect for paddling. From here you’ll be able to loop on to the South West Coat Path for walks along the Roseland Peninsula. Head east to the pretty village of Veryan, with its thatched round houses, pubs and shops. Or hike west along the coast to Portscatho and St Mawes.
