On the edge of the Northumberland National Park, this magnificent period home is set within its own 5-acre parkland with mature woods, flight pond and lawned gardens with picturesque woodland paths leading down to the river where quiet walks can be enjoyed. Once the shooting lodge to Wallington Hall (NT), 4 miles, Rothley Lodge has been restored and furnished to a very good standard while retaining its period character, and offers spacious accommodation. Ideal for a special celebration or get-together with a truly unique, private and tranquil setting. Ideally situated to enjoy all that Northumberland has to offer while the nearby market towns of Morpeth and Rothbury (within 13 miles), have an excellent range of shops, cafes and restaurants. Alnwick, the Northumberland coast, Kielder Water and forest, Hadrian’s Wall and the splendid city of Newcastle all within 23 miles. Fly fishing for trout available in season, free of charge, (maximum 2 rods, more on request at daily charge), and DIY livery for guests’ horses on request (details and fees to be arranged with owner). Shop and pub serving food 4 miles.
