Knighton, which includes a range of shops, bars and takeaways for guests to enjoy. Set all on one level, you are welcomed into an open plan living space and the living area includes comfortable seating and wall-mounted Smart TV. Bi-fold doors lead to the private patio where the private hot tub is located. There are two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and one with twin beds, and a shower room with a walk-in shower completes the accommodation. The lodge has air source underfloor heating throughout and solar panels on the roof.
The area is a walkers’ paradise with the well-known Offa’s Dyke Footpath passing close by; there are also many walks in nearby forests such as Radnor Forest and Nash Wood. The Castle Inn, under a mile away, serves locally sourced home cooked food, with an authentic Thai menu as well as quality pub grub. Local activities include the well-recognised Griffin-Lloyd Shooting Ground and Phil Price Rally School, and there are many attractions including the Judge’s Lodging museum, The Spaceguard Centre museum, Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre, the Elan Valley Reservoir and the Red Kite Feeding Station. The market towns of
Hereford and Ludlow and Hay-on-Wye are all in between 45-60 minutes away and all offer a variety of attractions.
Due to its convenient location, the tourist attractions of Shropshire and mid-Wales are all within easy driving distances, so you can also visit Clun with its castle, Ludlow,
Church Stretton and Long Mynd. Ironbridge Gorge, Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth make great day trips, and over the border into Wales, you can enjoy Welshpool with its steam engine, canal and Powys Castle.
