Details of Headland Breeze
Headland Breeze in
Penzance sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms. Headland Breeze in Penzance can be found in Praa Sands this beautiful bungalow is a few minutes walk from the beach, with stunning views of the sea from the bedrooms and front and back gardens. Headland Breeze is on a private road with plenty of parking in an elevated position. As soon as you walk in you notice the beautiful wooden floors, the tasteful furniture and the feeling of space, the property is very light and airy and deceptively large. The kitchen is well equipped, there is a very useful utility room great for shoes, coats etc. After a long day at the beach come in along the side of the property, wash down your wetsuits, boards etc with the outside hose then leave them to dry on the line. The lounge has a wood burner, ideal for those chilly evenings when you want to snuggle up with a hot drink. The garden is huge! There is a seating area outside the utility room, great for al fresco dinning, and a separate sitting area at the very top of the garden. Here you can soak up the last of the rays taking in the wonderful countryside views or sit under the stars and chill. For morning coffee sit out in the front and admire the fantastic views of the sea, it really is a brilliant way to start the day! You don’t really need to move the car during your stay.
A short walk takes you to the long, white, sandy beach stretching out for a mile, surrounded by sand dunes which shelter you from the winds. There is a café on the beach very popular for its variety of ice-creams. If you don’t want to cook why not pop into the local pub and sample some of their homemade food or just have a drink. Families often sit on the beach eating their fish and chips from the nearby chippy or have a barbeque (remember to take this home with you once it goes cold). The local bus stops at the top on the main road, ideal if you want to explore Penzance or
Helston, save yourself the parking and fuel as well as being able to admire the beautiful area. If you do want to venture out then make your way to
Marazion just 5 miles away and visit the famous
St Michaels Mount, you need to walk along the causeway so check the tides first! This does get very busy so book tickets in advance! Marazion is a market town full of quaint independent shops, cafés and pubs next to the beach, a great place for picking up gifts as well as a pasty or ice-cream. Going towards Helston, 10 mins away is Porthleven, famous for being the most southerly working port in the UK, with fishing boats delivering straight to the restaurants, you can’t get fish fresher than this. There are several restaurants, cafés and pubs catering for all dietary requirements and from Easter through the season there are market stalls. It is very popular with surfers and regulars who swim daily throughout the year regardless of the weather, as well as fishermen who cast off from the quay. The local coastal paths are popular with walkers coming from all over the country and abroad to experience the rugged terrain, watch the wild life and take in the salty sea air, it really does make you appreciate the beautiful countryside. There is so much to see and do, you will be booking to come back again!
