A grand entrance hall welcomes you, leading to a sumptuous lounge, and a stately dining room. The superb oak kitchen and breakfast room provide the perfect area to enjoy leisurely brunches or relaxed evening drinks. Five large bedrooms wrap around a handsome staircase on the first and second floor, and provide pure luxury with a four -poster bed in the master bedroom. Outside, there is a sheltered seating area to enjoy the evening sun, a large dining table and BBQ for alfresco dining, and a top-of-the-range
hot tub/spa to soak in the bubbles after a busy day at the beach.
Bideford, a bustling traditional maritime port and market town, is home to the Pannier Market, with local antiques, craft and produce sellers. An evening walk along the quayside and narrow streets takes you to many charming pubs and cafes. For families and surf-lovers alike, the superb sandy beach at Westward Ho! is just 10 minutes away. The national award-winning beach at
Woolacombe is only 24 miles, whilst Croyde and the stunning Saunton Sands are also in easy reach. For the gardening enthusiasts, Rosemoor R.H.S. is a mere 10 miles. Day trips to the pretty waterside villages of Appledore and Instow are a must, and are just around the corner. Daytrips to Lundy Island sail directly from Bideford Quay. For the energetic, the dramatic North Devon Coastline is within easy access and Bideford is on the thirty-mile Tarka trail, which is accessible by foot or cycle. The Mariners Way connects Bideford all the way to Dartmouth. Then there is the magnificent Hartland peninsula, incorporating the picturesque village of Clovelly. Hall leads to high-ceiling dining room with table to seat ten, sofa, dressers and door to rear landscaped garden and seating. Breakfast room includes table to seat up to ten, large armchair, dresser and TV/DVD. Large modern solid oak kitchen with granite worktops including range with 5 ring ceramic hob & three ovens, two under-counter fridges, wine fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Door to rear garden, games room and parking. The external games room has a sofa, bench and chair as well as a large TV, DVD/Blu-ray player, Wii with selection of games and a multi-games table. Also houses the freezer and washing machine/tumble-dryer. Downstairs WC. From the hall, a Grand curved staircase to First floor: Master bedroom with bay window, Four-poster Super-King size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, dressing table and chaise longue. Bedroom 2 with two 3ft singles, wardrobe, chest of drawers and rocking chair. Bedroom 3 with Super King-size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and small hand basin. Family Bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle with rainfall shower head, basin, bidet, heated towel-rail and WC. Second Floor: Bedroom 4 with Super King-size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and modern chaise longue. Bedroom 5 with two 3ft singles, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Shower room with power-shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC.
Please Note: When the property is let at a discounted rate for 6 people or fewer in the low and mid-season the top two bedrooms will be closed off.
