The pool is hemmed by a stone sun terrace topped with sun loungers that take in sweeping bay and harbour views. With wheels, it takes 15 minutes to reach the sand-and-pebble cove that houses lively Glysteri Beach.

Al fresco meals are easy at Villa Erato. There's a purpose-built barbecue on the poolside The kitchen is fully-equipped with an oven, microwave and dishwasher, and there's a four-seater dining table.
