Weaver's Cottage in Mytholmroyd near
Hebden Bridge sleeps 2 people. Hebden Bridge 1 mile. A traditional, stone-built, terraced cottage, just off the main high street of the village of Mytholmroyd, home of the infamous Cragg Coiners and birthplace of Ted Hughes, the Poet Laureate, a mile from
Hebden Bridge. Fully refurbished, this cosy cottage is full of character and retains the charm of a bygone age, making it an ideal romantic retreat. Set over two floors, the accommodation includes a ground floor open plan living area with kitchen, sitting and dining areas and a warming woodburning stove. On the first floor is a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed and an adjoining bathroom. This cottage offers excellent walks from the doorstep and also on the nearby canal towpath, where it's only 10 minutes' walk to Hebden Bridge with its many pubs and restaurants, lively and varied nightlife, wide range of lovely eateries and curiosity shops, and the old cinema, where you can indulge in tea and scones at the interval. Closer to home, Mytholmroyd offers a couple of good pubs, a bistro, cafe and also the Walkley Clogs factory, the oldest clog makers in the country. The countryside surrounding this lovely area offers many bridleways and there is also a mountain bike centre in Hebden Bridge. Visit the village of Heptonstall with its two historic pubs, or explore the home of the Bronte sisters in nearby Haworth. With the bustling town of
Skipton also within an easy drive, this is a superb cottage whatever the time of year.
