Annedd Goch in Llanychan near Llandyrnog sleeps 4 people. Annedd Goch near Llandyrnog is an annexe attached to the owner's 17th century home, which is located in the small rural hamlet of Llanychan in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd. This period property is ideal for couples or a family looking to explore the nearby market towns of
Ruthin and
Denbigh, or to enjoy the wonderful Clwydian countryside. The owner's stunning gardens are annually opened to visitors for one weekend a year as part of the National Garden Scheme. A cupboard in the hall opens to reveal the handy washing machine and tumble dryer for rinsing through those holiday essentials. From the hallway you enter the sociable and very well-appointed open plan living area with its well-equipped kitchen, dining area and sumptuous sitting area in front of the warming wood burning stove. Also on the ground floor is an additional modern shower room. Stairs lead up to the two beautifully appointed bedrooms where period features such as the original fireplaces are still visible. The master room has a zip/link king-size bed and the added luxury of an en-suite bathroom, perfect for soaking those aching muscles at the end of a busy day in the hills, with bathrobes provided by the owner. Three steps lead down into a twin bedroom with period styling and a lovely arched window. Outside you can sit in the enclosed cobbled courtyard garden and relax in the tranquil surroundings, and when available guests are welcome to help themselves to the fruit from the owner's orchard. If you have the energy the tennis court is accessed through the owner's garden and they have thoughtfully provided racquets and balls for you to use. Beyond the tennis court the paddock offers a lovely space for a kick around or game of chase with the children. The nearby village of Llandyrnog offers a village shop, Post Office and choice of pubs where you can enjoy good home-cooked meals. Walkers will enjoy the myriad of footpaths in the area and the well-known Offa's Dyke and Clwydian Way offer fantastic walking with outstanding views.
