Details of The Lighthouse
The Lighthouse in Dale sleeps 10 people. The Lighthouse is a 300-year-old lighthouse, steeped in history and rustic seafaring charm, characterful with natural, salt ingress, offering an amazing coastal escape. Part of the charm and experience is you may experience whistling winds, a raging sea and stunning sunsets. A unique, comfortable place to stay, with bundles of substance, soul, stunning views, surrounded by the never ending sea.
Located just 2 miles from the seaside village of Dale, with cafes, restaurant, Coco’s & The Griffin Inn, sailing & surfing tuition available, allegedly the sunniest spot in Wales, this historic Pembrokeshire lighthouse offers peace and tranquillity and a chance to say you’ve stayed in a very special property - how many can say they have stayed in a Lighthouse? The rolling surf at West Dale beach is great for surfing. Formerly the largest lighthouse of St. Anne’s Head, this historic property was first built in 1714 and occupies the most westerly point in Wales with one of the finest views of the Pembrokeshire coastline. Located above the beautiful rocky cliffs of this dramatic headline, this holiday accommodation sleeps 10 in comfort and is a memorable experience any time of the year. Simple, comfortable interior decor, expect a unique location, exquisite views and your chance to stay in a little bit of history. Occupying four levels, the majority of the living accommodation is on the ground floor for ease and access. The large open plan kitchen/diner/lounge is the heart of the lighthouse - perfect for all the group to get together and enjoy a holiday meal or relax in front of the TV. The 5 bedrooms are all on the ground floor and are comfortable but simple in style. The sleek family bathroom, however, is a real treat with a double Jacuzzi bath and his and hers sinks as well as separate double walk-in shower. There is plenty to entertain you at The Lighthouse. The heated swimming pool offers stunning views out across the sea. There is also a sauna, table football and outside patio area that provides ample space to sit out and dine alfresco. The Observation tower, previously the coastguard watchtower, will provide the greatest excitement with its 180-degree views of the dramatic St Anne’s headline. You are sure to spend many an hour simply watching the comings and goings, spotting the variety of seabirds and looking out to sea. You can watch the ships moving past in what must be one of the most amazing locations in the UK. It is truly mesmerising and simply breathtaking! This is a fantastic property, ideal for families and small groups looking for that unique experience with spectacular views.
It’s the wish of the hospitable owners for guests to have a fabulous stay in The Lighthouse, which is maintained by a professional cleaning and maintenance company.
