Flint Barn - sleeps 4
Flint Barn in East Runton, Norfolk sleeps 4 people. A very warm welcome awaits you at Flint Barn; a delightful brick and flint barn conversion that’s full of space, light, character and practicality. Tucked away in a peaceful location in the heart of the charming coastal village of East Runton, this hidden gem is a less than five minute stroll away from the village’s amenities and its stunning sandy beach, popular all year round with surfers, swimmers, bodyboarders, fossil hunters and walkers alike.
Dating back to the 1850s, Flint Barn is located in a small cul-de-sac of high quality barn conversions. In 2022 the barn was thoughtfully updated further by the owners to create a contemporary, relaxing and comfortable home-from-home for guests and their four-legged friends to enjoy. Every little thing has been thought of to ensure you have all you need for a hassle-free stay. On entering the barn you walk into a spacious reception hall which accesses all areas. A very well-equipped fitted country kitchen will keep even the most enthusiastic of cooks happy if you decide to stay in and whip up a delicious meal you are sure to be tempted by all the wonderful local produce on offer. You can choose to eat in the adjacent dining room or maybe alfresco in the large sun trap south facing patio at the back of the barn when the weather permits. The vaulted living room is filled with light from a stunning full-size picture window - this is a really lovely place to settle down after a day out and out exploring, walking and filling your lungs with fresh sea air. When you are ready to retire, upstairs you will find two inviting bedrooms (a king-size and twin) that share a smart fully tiled bathroom offering both bath and shower options. There’s a snug on this floor too; the perfect option if you prefer a quiet corner to read, watch television, perhaps study or work - if you must!
Flint Barn provides the ideal base for families, couples and friends, and those with a dog, to enjoy at any time of year. The traditional seaside town of Cromer is a lovely 20-minute walk or short car ride to the east, with its world-famous pier, Lifeboat Station, and independent shops. Sheringham, home to the Poppy Line steam train and quaint high street is three miles to the west. Both can be reached on foot via the beach or coastal path, car or on the coast hopper bus. Keen walkers will enjoy a ramble along the coastal path to Sheringham, taking in stunning views from Beeston Bump. Keen foodies are spoilt for choice as nearby are some of Norfolk’s finest like Rocky Bottoms, Upstairs at Number 1, and the outstanding Gunton Arms, and their new offering the Suffield Arms. If you enjoy visiting National Trust properties, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park and Blicking Hall are all very close by with stunning architecture and well-marked paths to explore the grounds.Additional Information:
