Margate is decorated to resemble a comfortable and relaxing sea captain's accommodation, and full of lovely quirky features such as a world map above the hearth, a captain's chair, shipping map and binoculars, and a large print of the famous Fighting Temeraire ship epitomised by J M W Turner, which happens to be the name of this apartment block.
Turner was a resident in Margate for some years and loved Margate for it's very special light. In fact he is often referred to as 'the painter of light'.
Captain's Quarters is the perfect place to appreciate this light as the four large sash windows provide stunning 180 degree sea views, with exquisite sunrises and sunsets. The large open plan living space offers comfortable sofas for relaxing, and a ship's captains mahogany dining table. A treasure chest full of games and fully stocked bookcase will keep adults and children entertained if the weather turns a bit choppy!
The master bedroom has an en suite shower and the second bedroom can be either a king-size bed or a twin bedded room on request. The main bathroom is a tropical island retreat complete with parrots and pineapples!
Located just moments from direct access to over 9 miles of award winning sandy beaches, and the quirky Old Town, this apartment is both child and pet friendly so perfect for couples and small families.
