The area is ideal for a spot of diving as the seas from Hook Head to Carnsore Point have been known as "the graveyard of a thousand ships", and beautiful unspoilt sandy beaches are within easy reach with nearby Ballyteigue offering beautiful walks along some of the finest sand dunes in the south-east of the country.
From Kilmore Quay, you can enjoy a boat trip to Great Saltee Island, and seeing it's famous bird sanctuary makes for a great day out.
Also within driving distance is the town of Wexford which is home to the ruins of the 12th century Selskar Abbey, as well as William Redmond Memorial Park, a gold club, ample shops and restaurants and nearby is the Irish National Heritage Park.
