Les Conches in Longeville-sur-Mer, Vendée sleeps 4 people. Les Conches in Longeville-sur-Mer is a contemporary semi-detached 2-bedroom house which sits just 600 metres up the road from the lovely sandy beach of Les Conches. There is a fitted kitchen and large patio doors open from the living/dining room onto the covered south-facing wooden terrace and enclosed garden. Upstairs are the twin and the double bedrooms, and shower room. All rooms have full electric shutters and electric centrally controlled heating, ideal for stays out of season. The fine sandy beach is just the other side of the dunes and has two surfing schools and a café for those who prefer to relax. There is tennis within 6km, sailing, and several bike paths so you can cycle up or down the coast, and 2 hire shops locally. In season there is a restaurant, snack bars and small shops for the croissants and other vital supplies within a few minutes’ walk. There are 3 supermarkets within 10 minutes’ drive, one of which is at the pretty resort of La Tranche-sur-Mer which has a great market twice a week. Try to visit the famous resort of Les Sables d’Olonne, 30km up the coast, and the historic city of La Rochelle, a 60km drive to the south, or you can take the ferry from La Tranche to La Rochelle and the very pretty island of Ile de Ré which lies opposite your beach at Les Conches. A great place for a holiday for a couple or a family. Beach 600m. Shop 6km, restaurant 500m.
