Just a short walk from the seafront, in the historic town of Walmer, near Deal, The Old Tavern is a terraced cottage set over three floors and having three double bedrooms, comfortable living room, separate spacious dining room and a secluded enclosed garden. The Old Tavern makes an excellent and ideal base for your holiday. The accommodation is homely and well equipped and is a great choice for families, groups of friends or couples. The seafront is just a 2-minute walk away, and there is an excellent choice of restaurants, pubs, shops and cafes close by, as well as two extraordinary castles (Walmer and Deal) plus a museum. Other local attractions include the famous historical city of Canterbury with its classic cathedral, along with cobbled streets and boutique shops. Dover Castle is a short drive away with prominent views over the Dover docks, and there are excellent opportunities for golf, cycling, water sports, and coastal walks on the doorstep. A day trip to France is also accessible with the daily ferry crossings from Dover or the Eurotunnel departing from Folkestone. The shop is 200 yards, with the pub being 100 yards. The beach and restaurant are 500 yards from The Old Tavern near Deal.
