The Granary is an ideal place to stay if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the Lakes, and enjoy the quieter and calmer pace of village life.
Perfect for couples, walkers or cyclists, The Granary is located in the north west of the Lake District, ideal to explore the Solway Coast and the surrounding Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Northern Lake District National Park is just a short drive away where you can see the fells and open lake views. The quiet surrounding lanes are on a relatively flat plain, perfect if you prefer cycling.
The large, open plan living area has plenty of space for all to sit on the comfortable sofas, enjoy a meal around the dining table, prepared from the more than adequately equipped kitchen. There is a very handy utility room with a washer and dryer should you find yourselves caught in a rain shower whilst out exploring.
The nearby historic city of
Carlisle makes a great day trip from its 900-year old castle, to The Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery, which has a host of exhibitions all year round. If shopping is your thing, the centre has a wide range of high street brands and small independent shops as well as plenty of places to grab a bite to eat along your way. The beach is 3¾ miles from The Granary near Aspatria. With the shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles from The Granary.
