Details of The Everglades - Anglers Haven
Anglers Haven at The Everglades in Denver, near
Downham Market, Norfolk sleeps 5 people. The Everglades near Downham Market is next to a picturesque lake on the edge of the village of Denver; this small complex of three holiday properties (refs
UKC1423 [Fishermans Den],
UKC1424 [Herons Nest] and UKC1425) is an angler’s dream holiday base. There is a well-stocked fishing lake (which can be accessed by the public, licence required) providing excellent fishing for bream, tench, roach, rudd and carp up to 30lbs. This beautiful and peaceful location is only a short walk from the village centre, Denver Windmill, a fully restored working mill with a tea room, bakery and shop, and Denver Sluice, which has a pub and restaurant. Sailing is possible along the River Ouse.
Good road links mean the property is perfect for those looking to explore the area. Welney Wetland Centre, a 1000-acre nature reserve for wetland birds is a must for any bird enthusiast. The beaches and RSPB nature and bird reserves can be found along the North Norfolk Coast. In fact, you can be at the gateway to the breathtaking coast in just half an hour. Here, you will find a string of picturesque seaside villages with marshes, quays and wide sandy beaches.
History buffs should head to the Hanseatic Quarter of Old Kings Lynn, the medieval city of
Norwich with its Norman castle or the
Sandringham Estate, which often hosts events. The area has tourist attractions galore, and there really is so much to do and explore, after which you can return to Denver and while an evening away lakeside. The beach is 23 miles from The Everglades near
Downham Market. With the shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
