Details of Seaway
Seaway in Llansantffraid, near
Aberaeron, Cardigan/Ceredigion sleeps 4 people in 1 bedroom. Seaway near
Aberaeron has been carefully renovated and crafted into a beautiful coastal cottage, just waiting for you to enjoy. Situated in the pretty higgledy piggledy hamlet of Llansantffraed less than half a mile down the lane from the village of Llanon, you are surrounded by old cottages and seaside homes. As you enter you will be struck by the elegant interior with a mixture of antique furniture and accessories, and unusual light fittings. Seaway has a lovely welcoming feel, the spacious living room has a sofa bed and an inviting wood burner. The contemporary kitchen and dining room has an oak floor, a full height apex ceiling and French doors leading to the lovely terraced cottage garden. There’s a ground floor shower room and toilet, and the staircase leads directly onto the first floor with a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite toilet, and a glimpse of the sea to tempt you.
A short stroll will bring you to the coast, but you will be spoiled for choice here as there are plenty of beaches to visit along
Cardigan Bay and many of them allow pets right throughout the year if you are bringing your four legged friend on holiday.
The village of Llanon has a pub, fish and chip shop, convenience stores and butcher, and the main road takes you 11 miles up the coast to the seaside town of
Aberystwyth. Here you can visit the promenade and traditional pier or take a ride on the longest electric cliff railway in the UK to the top of Constitution Hill where the views are simply amazing. The Vale of Rheidol steam train will also take you on a magical journey inland to Devil’s Bridge and waterfalls. Don’t miss a visit to the Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron, less than 5 miles away, you will find colourful houses surrounding the harbour and a selection of independent shops, café’s, pubs and restaurants. Travel another 6 miles further on and you will come to pretty New Quay, where the houses cling to the rocks above the bay and where you can catch a dolphin watching boat trip. Poet Dylan Thomas lived in New Quay and it’s not hard to see why the place inspired him so much. In fact, Ceredigion is a county full of inspiration from the remote wilderness of the Cambrian Mountains to the dramatic coastline of Cardigan Bay, with sparkling beaches and breathtaking walks along the 60 miles of coastal pathway. Fishing is also available nearby. The countryside is littered with lovely towns and villages and here the pace of life seems more relaxed. The thriving cultural identity of Ceredigion will draw you in and perhaps your visit to Seaway won’t be your last! Beach ¼ mile. The shop, pub and restaurant are ½ mile from Seaway near Aberaeron.
