As you enter the property, you will walk into the dining room, which also has a wood burner. This room is great for gathering your friends and family for a homecooked meal after a fun-filled day exploring Devon. Next door is the cosy living room which is comfortably furnished with a large corner sofa and a Smart TV. Heading upstairs, there are two well presented bedrooms and a family bathroom. At the front of the cottage, guests will have private use of a small courtyard garden which has a table and chairs. Ponsford Ponds offers free fishing for Roach Cottage in the main 2-acre lake with carp up to 18lb. The pond is located just 220 yards away from the property.
The M5 motorway is just a 10-minute drive from the accommodation, the town of Cullompton is a 5-minute drive and the cathedral city of
Exeter is 20 minutes. The award-winning North Devon coastline is within an hour’s drive with its golden sandy surfing beaches, and the fascinating Jurassic South Devon coastal beauty spots are within a 30-minute drive. The National Parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor are both within an easy 50-minute drive, showcasing rolling wild green moorlands where you will find breathtaking scenery.
Cullompton is located on the fringe of the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and provides stunning scenery and picturesque walks. This traditional market town has a wide range of independent shops, cafés and public houses.
