Sunset Cottage at Portland Holiday Cottages in Portland, near Weymouth sleeps 4 people. These three holiday cottages situated on The Isle of Portland, which offers stunning scenery and a wealth of wildlife, are in a superb location to enjoy Chesil Beach and the world-famous Jurassic Coast. Each cottage at Portland Holiday Cottages can accommodate four guests and can be booked together or separately. Cove Cottage (ref 31196 [Cove Cottage]) and Sunset Cottage (ref 31197), are fine Grade II listed Portland Stone fisherman’s cottages and are next door to each other, and Sea Dog Cottage (ref 31195 [Sea Dog Cottage]), a stone cottage built in 1800, is about ½ mile away from the other two properties, but all three are within a couple of hundred yards of Chesil Beach. For those who love water sports, guests can enjoy sailing, canoeing, fishing, swimming and boating on the doorstep, or on Portland itself. The Tout Quarry has wonderful views over Chesil Beach and at Portland Bill - one can climb the 153 steps of the lighthouse and absorb the coastlines rugged beauty, followed by a cream tea at the tea room. If not enjoying the many attractions on Portland, one can find many on the mainland, including the quaint shops in Weymouth, the lovely golden sandy beach and the family attractions of Sea Life Adventure Park and Tower, Tithe Barn children’s farm and the Swannery at Abbotsbury - the list goes on. For days out, you can explore this scenic coast from Lyme Regis in the west to Corfe in the east, taking in resorts such as Charmouth, West Bay with its traditional harbour, and on to Lulworth Cove. Also inland, Dorchester has much to enjoy and the whole of west Dorset beckons. The shop is ½ mile, with the pub and restaurant being 100 yards from Portland Holiday Cottages.
