Details of Orchard House
Orchard House in Scarborough, Yorkshire sleeps 6 people. Orchard House in
Scarborough is set in a quiet cul-de-sac, on the edge of the town centre of Scarborough with the owner living adjacent. Everything is close by including shops, bars, restaurants and, of course, the beach. This large spacious, detached house is perfect for families and has a lawned garden and landscaped tiered garden with a wonderful array of flowers and colour. Scarborough has something for all age groups. At Peasholm Park you can hire pedaloes and rowing boats on the lake and admire the wonderful gardens surrounding the water. Peasholm Park is also famous for the naval warfare display that is performed every summer and has entertained many over the years. Alpamare waterpark, with its fantastic wave pools and flumes, is just around the corner, as is the Sealife Centre. For the adults, there is a large open air theatre as is the Stephen Joseph Theatre, home to most of Sir Alan Ayckbourn’s premieres. Scarborough has two large bays with a long flat promenade leading from one end to the other. The castle is perched on the hillside overlooking the two bays, both of which have large sweeping sandy beaches ideal for children.
Within a short drive of the property are the resorts of Whitby,
Filey, Flamborough and
Bridlington. The RSPB nature reserve at Bempton Cliffs is further down the coast where you can see thousands of migrating birds and, of course, the popular puffins. For those of you who enjoy the great outdoors, the Cleveland Way trail passes along the seafront of Scarborough and along of the cliff tops towards its final destination of Filey. The medieval city of
York is less than an hour away and can be reached by car or train. York is voted every year in the top ten cities to visit and is definitely worth a visit during your stay. The beach is ½ mile from Orchard House in Scarborough. With the shop 100 yards, and the pub & restaurant are 250 yards from Orchard House.
