You can enjoy Ironbridge Gorge and its museums or a trip to Wroxeter Roman city and the nearby vineyard. There are 4 National Trust properties within an hour’s drive, the closest being Attingham Park, then Powys Castle, Chirk and Dudmaston are slightly further afield but make for a great day out exploring the Welsh Borders.
Ludlow Castle, food centre and racecourse, the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre and Acton Scott working farm are all popular tourist attractions. The Glider Centre on the top of the Longmynd and Cardingmill valley are not to be missed, and for the more adventurous there are nearby outdoor attractions from quad trekking, mountain boarding, zip wire, high ropes, clay pigeon shoots and archery.
