They both overlook the River Stour and the fields beyond, providing you with beautiful scenery to admire during your stay. Inside they are well furnished, open plan and spacious, perfect for socialising with families or groups of friends. You can enjoy cooking together in the well-equipped kitchen, play a board game, enjoy your favourite TV shows on the Smart TV or cosy up and read a book. Alternatively enjoy an evening meal at the local pub which comes highly recommended by the owners.
These properties provide plenty of activities for all, each with their own enclosed garden and river views, you can spend your afternoons watching the children and pets play, or perhaps have a barbecue in the warm afternoons while overlooking the water. Many incredible birds are often seen enjoying the water’s edge, if you are lucky enough you will be able to get wonderful photos or just enjoy watching them quietly from the garden. Guests are able to bring their own non-motorised boats, life jackets and kayaks to enjoy your days out on the water. The owner owns the fishing rights to the river and is happy for guests to fish at no additional cost, as long as you bring your own equipment and a rod licence, which can be purchased online. You could catch a range of fish such as perch, pike, chub, roach and bream while staying on the River Stour.
If you want to venture out and explore Dorset there is a wealth of activities for you to enjoy. You have incredible views with both
Hod Hill and Hambledon Hill right on your doorstep, accessed by the North Dorset Trailway. Moors Valley is sure to make for a fantastic day out for everyone, providing woodland walking and cycling trails, Go Ape, an 18-hole golf course and a steam train. If you head to the coast you can enjoy fantastic walks along the
Jurassic Coast where you can search for fossils, or you could get a boat from Poole to Brownsea Island, a National Trust site, where you may be lucky enough to see red squirrels and peacocks. In
Dorchester there is the Dinosaur Museum or you can visit Thomas Hardy’s Cottage. Alternatively, you can head to Corfe Castle, a 1000-year-old royal castle shaped by warfare. Visit Stourhead House and Gardens,
