Milkpan Farm Holidays in Godshill is a beautifully presented one bedroom, semi-detached bungalow attached to the side of the main house. Surrounded by fields but only a 5-minute walk to the local pub, or 15-minute walk into the heart of Godshill village. You will be at complete peace with only the sound of the birds, horses, sheep and cows! An excellent base to explore the beautiful Isle of Wight. You can leave your bikes in the porch for safe-keeping.
This is a great central location for a quiet relaxing holiday, or for exploring all that the Isle of Wight has to offer. The property is situated in the rural outskirts of Godshill Village about a mile away from the centre of probably the most picturesque village on the Isle Of Wight, an ideal central base giving easy access to all of the islands many attractions. The Village has a winding main street lined with a number of fantastic village pubs and tea rooms serving the best local ales and delicious cream scones and jam. The village boasts some of the oldest buildings on the Isle of Wight with its own historic medieval church at the top of the hill and numerous pretty, thatched cottages.
There is plenty to explore, including a model village, museums, gift shops, pubs and restaurants. There are also many miles of public footpaths and countryside straight from your doorstep. The island has become a real hotspot for cycling enthusiasts, with a choice of challenging off-road bridleways, peaceful byways and level, purpose-made tracks running along former railway lines.
The popular seaside resorts of
Ventnor and Shanklin are about 15 minutes away, with lovely parks, gardens and glorious beaches, and the island’s capital, Newport, with its many amenities, including a leisure centre and theatre, is also 15 minutes away. Further outdoor pursuits on the island include horse riding, fishing, paragliding, water sports and golf.
There are numerous attractions to discover for all ages, such as The Needles, with its chairlift down to the coloured sands of Alum Bay, amusement park, boat rides and lighthouse. Why not pay a visit to Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence,
