These five identical cosy glamping lodges (new for 2020 and 2021), Buzzard (ref UK34164), Lapwing (ref UK34165), Skylark (ref UK34166), Wagtail (ref UK34167) and Woodpecker (UK34168) are the perfect choice for a short break or week stay all year round whether it’s for a holiday, working in the area or visiting nearby friends and family. Each Lodge is carefully designed, giving you a stylish and well-equipped space that includes underfloor heating for all year round comfort, a fully fitted kitchen, en-suite shower room, dining table, separate bedroom with double bed and living area with corner settee and TV. You can admire the far-reaching views of rural south Leicestershire whilst sitting by your accommodation making use of the barbecue and firepit and watching the stunning sunsets. The five lodges are named after some of the wildlife you would expect to see during your stay.
A short walk will find you in the pretty village of East Leake with a range of facilities and eateries. There are many beautiful walks and cycling surrounding the site to enjoy during your visit. Midshires Way Campsite & Alpaca Farm is centrally located within the East Midlands bordering Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire and easily accessible from major roads. Within 20 miles are the towns and cities of Loughborough,
Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Melton Mowbray and Ashby-de-la-Zouch offering lots of amenities including great shopping and places to eat. There is so much to do and see in the area including the Great Central Railway in Loughborough, historic and stately homes including Belvoir Castle, Chatsworth House, Burghley House, Calke Abbey, Grimsthorpe Castle, Park & Gardens and Haddon Hall. The city of Leicester boasts the National Space Centre and home to the Richard III Museum. For other historic places of interest, take a trip to The Tales of Robin Hood in Nottingham,
Lincoln cathedral and the castle in Newark. A little further afield is the Derbyshire Dales, with stunning countryside and miles of footpaths and cycling routes.
