Marlbrook, Ventnor in St Lawrence is set in an area known as the Undercliff, a unique location between the cliff and the sea which provides a micro-climate, an ideal haven for a variety of flora and fauna, many species of which are only found in Mediterranean countries. you can take a pleasant stroll, 10–15 minutes, along the footpath to Woody Bay. A 5-minute drive will take you into Ventnor, a Victorian seaside town with buildings full of character. In addition to the main shopping street where you will find a selection of small supermarkets, there are parks and gardens, museums, and the Winter Gardens - an entertainment venue with a growing reputation for theatre, concerts, comedy, and dance shows and of course the restaurant/bar. On the way to Ventnor town, you will pass Steephill Cove where you will find a café and restaurant among the handful of cottages nestled behind this beautiful sandy beach.

This area is also home to Ventnor Botanical Gardens, this unique garden is protected from the cold northerly winds by chalk downs. The Isle of Wight has much to offer for all ages including The Needles with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse, and coloured sands of Alum Bay.
