Combe House in Oakford, near Tiverton sleeps 7 people. Set in 7 acres of farmland with amazing gardens, in the Exmoor National Park, this spacious farmhouse has been decorated and furnished to a very good standard and enjoys uninterrupted views over the countryside. It is set on a quiet farm in outstanding countryside with lots of wildlife. There are numerous shrubs, trees and wildlife with two ponds where ducks and moorhens gather, and you may catch a glimpse of the resident kingfisher! Set in the owner’s grounds, this holiday property adjoins a small annexe and has a shared access, but offers privacy. Occasionally, red deer, foxes, badgers, resident and migrant birds can be seen. This is an ideal base to explore this part of Devon. Oakford village is 1½ miles, with a public house. The towns of Dulverton, Bampton, Tiverton, Lynton and Lynmouth are a short drive. Lynton is a Victorian resort, linked to Lynmouth by a water powered cliff railway ascending 600ft. Enjoy spectacular coastal and inland walks, including the Valley of the Rocks and the steeply wooded Glen Lyn Gorge. Boat trips from the harbour afford excellent views of this rugged yet picturesque coastline. To get a good idea of the history of Bampton, the best way is to follow the ’Bampton Town Trail’, a walk which takes you around the town, and introduces you to historic sites and buildings. There are invigorating walks, horse riding and cycling across the moors and wooded valleys, or enjoy a cream tea in one of Exmoor’s beautiful villages. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 ½ miles
