Alcester, Warwickshire. It is a late 17th-century, mid-terraced town house cottage with traditional features and is the perfect place for a stay in this fabulous area. Step through the front door and you are immediately welcomed by the cosy living room with a wood burner. Walking through to the kitchen, you can enjoy your breakfast by opening the stable door on to the relaxing and peaceful courtyard garden. On the first floor is an inviting double bedroom and a bathroom boasting a beautiful roll-top bath from where you can admire the beamed high ceiling. Up to the second floor is the second double bedroom beaming with daylight through the large windows. The owner has enjoyed making this beautiful cottage a wonderful place to stay with lots of lovely decor and features.
There are endless options to spend your days during your stay, including visiting one of the nearby historic houses and stately homes. Ragley Hall hosts many events throughout the year and Coughton Court, Hanbury Hall and
Warwick Castle are all within easy reach. Shakespeare’s Startford-upon-Avon is just over 7 miles away where you can visit William Shakespeare’s birthplace and Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, or take a walking tour through the town. Alternatively enjoy a boat trip on the River Avon or take in one of the Bard’s plays at the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre. Other places worth seeing in this area include Bidford-on-Avon, Evesham and the many pretty towns and villages that make up the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
