Dutch Barn in Crackington Haven, North Cornwall sleeps 8 people. Dutch Barn in Crackington Haven has been newly converted to a luxury dog friendly holiday cottage that sleeps up to 8 adults plus cots.

The conversion produces a piece of modern architecture that embraces materials such as a zinc roof, western red cedar cladding and glulam beams. The overall design harks back to the industrial feel of the original barn. Sustainability is at the heart of the design and all the heating, hot water and electrical facilities are powered by solar power or through a biomass boiler that uses a renewable source of wood pellets.

Forming part of Pencuke Farm, Dutch Barn is one of 6 holiday cottages where you can benefit from the superb facilities available on the site. As with all the cottages and barn conversions, guests have use of a large lawned recreation area, communal BBQ terrace that enjoys stunning views, the games room with pool table and table football and access to the 18 acres of farm land. Subject to availability, fresh farm produce can be purchased on site.

Pencuke Farm is only a few miles inland from the spectacular north Cornwall coast around Crackington Haven. With this dramatic coastline and stunning countryside all round to explore, this really is a fantastic place to stay. The farm offers guests the opportunity to relax against a stunning backdrop, whilst being located close to beaches and all the outdoor activities you would expect to enjoy from a holiday in Cornwall.

Accommodation at Dutch Barn in Crackington Haven
First Floor only: The barn's living accommodation is arranged on the first floor and can sleep up to 8 adults in four bedrooms. The usual layout is two double rooms (5' beds) and two twin rooms (3' beds). However each set of twin beds can be joined together on request to make a 6' bed. All bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom. Three of the bathrooms have a bath with overhead power shower. The fourth bathroom has a bath and a separate spacious walk in shower. The barn benefits from an open plan L-shaped living area with a wonderful vaulted ceiling and exposed glulam beams. The main room comprises of a large table that can comfortably seat 10 people, a large sofa, a wood burning stove and two sets of fully opening bi-fold doors. A large opening leads from the living area into the kitchen, which is spacious and has lovely views across the valley. There is a breakfast bar with a couple of stools.
Exterior: Accessed from the bi-fold doors or one of the bedrooms, is a 40 foot long enclosed terrace. The terrace has a barbecue (subject to the time of year), large dining table, views across the farm to the Atlantic ocean and a jacuzzi hot tub.

Facilities & Services
All rooms have under floor heating. The kitchen is well equipped with a large range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, American style fridge freezer and ice maker. The sitting room area has a 48" Smart TV, Blu-ray DVD player, XBox 360, B&W Speaker and iPod Dock. There is a DVD library for you to choose from. All bedrooms have a dedicated smart TV with free view. There is Wi-Fi available at the property. There is an iron and ironing board. There is a separate cupboard off the lounge where you will find a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Miscellaneous
Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels, One basket of logs will be provided on arrival; additional logs can be purchased on site. Up to 4 well behaved dogs are permitted at Dutch Barn in Crackington Haven at an additional charge, although please remember that you cannot leave dogs unattended in the cottage alone. You are welcome to exercise the dogs under supervision around the owners' land. No smoking allowed. There is plenty of space for cars to park. Cot and high chair are available but must be pre-booked. There is a stair gate at the top of the stairs.
