Camelford is a Victorian house which exudes character and opulence from the very well-equipped modern large kitchen/breakfast room to the dining room with dazzling chandelier. There is a beautifully appointed double aspect living room including large flat screen 3D TV and 3D Blu-ray player. Upstairs the bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage and one room includes a sumptuous four poster bed. The property lends itself also for smaller parties or 2 families with two large master bedrooms on one side and two smaller rooms along the wing landing on the other side of the house. The bathrooms are equally sumptuous; restored to 5 star luxury combining state of the art plumbing and heating with beautiful free standing claw foot baths and decorations. The main bathroom also has a walk in shower.
Tregoodwell is a quiet village within half a mile (10 mins walk) of Camelford which has pubs restaurants award winning takeaways, supermarkets, an excellent butcher selling locally sourced produce, a chemist (Boots) and a collection of small shops. It also has a great playground and the large car park is free of charge. The North Coast with its captivating dramatic scenery including cliff top walks and glorious sandy beaches for surfing, dog walks and family fun is a short drive away, as is
Bodmin Moor with Cornwall’s highest point Brown Willy just a mile from Roughtor which has a large amount of bronze age and Neolithic monuments.
Accommodation at Cobbetts in Camelford Ground floor: Enters into a hallway with doors leading to the living room with large open fire place with multi fuel stove, grand dining room (seats 10), large kitchen/breakfast room (seats 8) with all modern amenities. There is an open hearth fire in the kitchen and under floor heating. The utility room has a washing machine and separate tumble dryer, through the utility room is a further door leading to a downstairs WC. Stairs from the hall way lead up to the first floor.
First floor: At the top of the staircase is the spacious family bathroom with claw foot free standing bath, walk in shower, WC and a linen cupboard. The stairs then split to either side of the property, at the east end is a spacious double aspect bedroom, mainly colonial style, with a king size bed and a further double room decorated with a hint Asia and a king size four poster bed. At the west end of the property is a second bathroom and WC also with a free standing claw footed bath, a twin room with two 3' single beds and a fourth double bedroom with a 4'6" bed.
Exterior: Charming, spacious, well maintained south facing garden, fully enclosed by a fence. Exterior furniture and barbecue facilities.
Facilities & Services Heating is via central heating accompanied with under-floor heating in the kitchen and main bathroom and several stoves for atmosphere. The kitchen is fully fitted with a range of units. There is an electric oven, a combi oven/microwave an island with an electric hob with pop up extraction system, dishwasher, full range of top quality pans and utilities; toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine as well as cappuccino / espresso machine, fridge / freezer (70/30 split). In the utility room there is a Bosch washing machine and tumble dryer. The lounge area has a large flatscreen digital 3D TV with freeview & 3D Blu-ray DVD player, CD & Radio. There is free Wi-Fi at the property. There is an iron & ironing board in two of the rooms, all rooms equipped with Tea trays, MO3 / iPod docking stations, hairdryers and make up mirrors. There is a safety gate available at the top of the staircase to the west wing of the property (twin and double bedrooms). A cot and highchair is available upon request.
Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and beach towels are all included. Up to three well-behaved dogs are welcome at an additional charge under the condition that they are kept downstairs and not left alone at the property. No smoking allowed. There is private off-road parking for two cars.
