Every inch the beautiful country manor house, Shalfleet Manor is a 17^th century manor house with a Grade II listing. Turn off the main road and follow the sweeping gravel driveway through the mature gardens, and when the house comes into view, you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped back in time.

Shalfleet Manor sleeps up to 16 guests, so it’s perfect for a family gathering or a break to mark a special celebration. And the reception hall makes an impressive space to set your bags down and greet loved ones.

When it’s time to catch up for an evening over a bottle of bubbly, the drawing room’s an impressive setting for family time. The 17^th century fireplace adds a touch of grandeur, and the windows overlook manicured lawns. And for those quiet evenings, the snug just off the drawing room has a flatscreen TV. The wood-panelled sitting room’s another elegant space to unwind, and there’s something about choosing a book from one of the bookcases and curling up for a while that makes this house feel like home.

Whether you while away sunny afternoons in the conservatory or you step out onto the sun terrace, the private gardens are home to peaceful corners perfect for those lazy days. The heated swimming pool means you’re never more than a moment from a dip, and there are sun loungers beside it for those of you who are content to lie back with a book.

For those that need a little extra space there is a cosy one bedroom cottage opposite the Manor House with an open plan living room with kitchen area and double bedroom with en suite bathroom.

Shalfleet Manor is situated on the edge of Newtown Estuary, a designated National Nature Reserve. A picturesque setting for that special break, it’s a popular great place to try your hand at Stand Up Paddle boarding or amble along the water in a kayak. Better still, just a short stroll away you’ll find one of the best pubs on the Wight, The New Inn.
