"This quaint one bedroom cottage is set back from the road in the pretty seaside town of Ballycastle. It occupies a prime location, having the beach, golf course, tennis courts (fee), restaurants, bars and shops all within a short walk. The cottage offers a cosy base from which to explore the stunning Causeway Coast and Antrim Glens. Ballycastle is at the heart of outstanding natural beauty. Go West: along the Causeway coast to Kinbane castle, Carrickarede Rope bridge, Ballintoy, Dunseverick, Portbraddon, the Giant's Causeway, Bushmills Distillery. Go East to the magnificent Torr head and Murlough Bay.

Ballycastle is midway along the coastal road which has been included in the world's top ten most spectacular drives. Its central position along this route makes it the ideal location for exploring the area. The world famous Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, Bushmills Distillery and three of the nine glens are all within a ten mile radius. As well as the more famous tourist attractions it is worth visiting the picturesque Ballintoy harbour just a few miles away. The historic Bonemargy Friary, one of the finest ruins along the north coast and thought to have been built around 1480 is just a short walk from the town.

Just 6 miles from the mainland lies Rathlin island. Ferries leave regularly from Ballycastle marina for the 25 minute crossing. A paradise for walkers, nature lovers and ornithologists, the island boasts internationally important flora and fauna and is home to both seals and the largest seabird colony in Northern Ireland.



Ballycastle has a superb 18 hole golf links. It is one of four courses played each June in the world renowned Causeway golf tournament. Ballycastle also has tennis facilities with 6 all weather courts and 5 grass - the last of very few remaining in the uk. These are open to the public for a small fee.

The town has a good selection of restaurants, cafes and bars, several of the bars have traditional Irish music.
