Boasting four unique bedrooms, one with a dressing area and en-suite bathroom with clawfoot bath and separate shower, this detached house really is a special place to stay. The large French country style kitchen, warmed by a wood burner, is great for cooking meals together, or for baking cakes for your vintage tea party in the large garden (vintage tea set available to use). The kitchen leads through to the dining area, separate conservatory and two additional living areas, inviting you to relax after an enjoyable day exploring all that this beautiful area has to offer, or simply sit in the large tiered garden and soak in the view over the valley of fields and farmland.
The hamlet of Windley is approximately ¼ of a mile from the village of Turnditch, and Cowers Lane is also nearby, which provides a selection of village inns and a local garage. It is situated some 6 miles from the centre of Ashbourne, known as the gateway to the famous Peak District National Park, and the city of Derby
is just 8 miles away. Admire the natural beauty and historic buildings of the local area, or enjoy one of the many endless activities, including walking around Dovedale, cycling the Derbyshire byways or sailing at Carsington Water. If golf is your thing, the nearby Belfry course is one not to miss, and Yeaveley Castle offers clay pigeon shooting, archery or 4x4 off road driving.
If you fancy a more leisurely day, there are stately homes at Chatsworth, Kedleston and Tissington, all of which are well worth a visit. The Crich Tramway Museum is close, or take a ride on the Heights of Abraham cable car in Matlock
Bath. A little further afield are the show caves in the Castleton area, which include the caverns at Treak Cliff or Speedwell, or visit the famous Blue John Mines. The World Heritage Site of Arkwright Mill at Cromford is the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Here, you can either tour the mill and village, or visit the interesting shops and excellent tea room. All in all, Woodside is the perfect place in which to enjoy a fun-filled holiday.
