Details of Kettle Cottage
Kettle Cottage in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire sleeps 4 people. Kettle Cottage is tucked away in the very centre of Chipping Campden, within the grounds of ’Kettle House’ where there is a huge kettle hanging on the front elevation. This is a landmark and dates from the time when James ’Tinker’ Haines was the householder. He repaired kettles and pans, and the huge kettle was a sign of his trade. Kettle Cottage is reached via a cobbled side passage containing an old well and a pump in working order, which leads to the garden and the cottage. Overlooking the garden is the lovely, honey-coloured church tower of St James’ Church, which is featured in ’England’s Thousand Best Churches’ by Simon Jenkins. This attached cottage is just off the famous high street of Chipping Campden, which offers an introduction into the beauty of a quintessentially English Cotswold village. Lined with interesting antique shops, galleries, gift shops, restaurants, inns and tea shops, Chipping Campden is a real jewel of a destination for friends and families alike. A little further afield, but still only a short drive away, guests will be able to visit many of the smaller Cotswolds towns and villages too, including Broadway
, Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh. Stratford-upon-Avon is only a short drive away and makes for an enjoyable day out for guests of all ages, along with the historic cathedral city of Warwick
, Royal Leamington

and Cirencester. The shop, pub and restaurant are ¼ mile from Kettle Cottage in Chipping Campden.
