is a semi-detached house, adjacent to the owners’ home, which is on the outskirts of Torquay and has spacious rooms, giving ample space for all the family. With its large bright entrance hall, sumptuous living room with three comfortable sofas, bi-folding doors opening on to amazing views and a wood burner inviting you to relax and enjoy watching the Sky TV package. The spacious, well-equipped kitchen has mood changing lights, induction hob, steam oven and a warming drawer which makes short work of those family meals, along with bi-folding doors leading to an outside seating area. There is a large patio area and enclosed garden area with amazing views and sunsets across Haytor. Each upstairs bedroom has doors opening onto a balcony with table and chairs, where you have a small sea view, but amazing views across the countryside.
There are many miles of coastline, cliffs, coves, beaches and walks in the immediate vicinity, which has a climate that belongs somewhere much further south. There are opportunities for surfing, swimming, diving, sailing, sea angling and wonderful opportunities to study the natural wildlife at leisure. Enjoy superb walks around this stretch of coastline and along the coast to the fishing village of Brixham. Take a ferry from Torquay or Dartmouth and visit Dartmoor with its rugged tors and lovely villages tucked away. Golf, go karting, birdwatching and sailing are all available nearby and the property is situated less than a mile from the beautiful beaches Torquay has to offer. There are many National Trust properties to visit, including Agatha Christie’s summer house ’Greenway’. Walk from Torre Abbey gardens and park beyond to reach the picturesque harbour, theatre, shops, cafés and restaurants. The Living Coasts Zoo and Aquarium where penguins roam freely, is there too and just a short drive or bus ride is Babbacombe Model Village, Bygones and Kent’s Cavern.
By day or night there are fantastic panoramic views from the Rock Walk behind Torquay promenade. From the nearby coastline, stunning views are to be enjoyed across the bay, out over the English Channel, along the 40 miles towards Lyme Bay and Portland Bill. Torquay is an ideal base from which to visit Totnes
and Plymouth. Dawlish Warren or Paignton
